BBQ SHRIMP
Ingredients
2 pounds (15-18 count) shrimp, peeled and deveined-tails on
1/4 cup homemade BBQ sauce (can use your favorite jarred sauce)
salt and pepper
12-16 wooden skewers
Directions
Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before skewering the shrimp to prevent the skewers from burning, or use metal skewers.
Heat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Skewer the shrimp, 4-5 per skewer depending on the size. I always use two skewers for shrimp to keep the shape and prevent them from curling up. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
Using a brush, brush BBQ sauce all over the shrimp so they are fully coated on both sides. Grill for 6-8 minutes per side, until lightly charred, opaque and cooked through.
